Back to Better is an independent venture studio in Sweden. We build our own products, and a few times a year we co-produce one with a partner: from blank page to live product, with the same two people on it from first sketch to launch.
Not an agency. Not an incubator.
An agency builds what you specify and bills for the hours. An incubator gives you advice, a desk and a network. A venture studio builds the product itself. We write the code, shape the brand and take it to its first users, and we only do that for ideas we believe in. It is how we build our own titles. Co-production is the same machine, pointed at your idea.

Concept, code, brand, growth. iOS, Android and web from one codebase, on infrastructure we run ourselves. Design, store listings, analytics and the first campaigns. Nothing gets lost in a handoff, because there are none.

What is a venture studio?
A company that builds new products and companies itself, instead of selling hours or advice. Back to Better builds its own titles and co-produces a few with partners.
How is that different from hiring an agency?
An agency builds what you specify and bills for the time. We take part in deciding what to build, and we only take on ideas we believe in.
How many partners do you take on?
A few a year. Each one gets the whole team, which is two people.
